Cost Estimator: Read specifications and provide costs for specified tile, stone, terrazzo and potential alternates. Prepare complete quantity take offs, analysis, estimates, and studies for all items incorporated for ceramic tile, slab granite, exterior veneer, and terrazzo scopes. Clarify scope of work, materials and schedule requirements, document clarifications, offer value engineering ideas for material and labor to reduce costs to the client. Estimate and take the form of budgetary bid, hard bid, and Guaranteed Maximum Profit (GMP) that result in complete proposal covering companies scope of work to the general contractor, including clarifications, inclusions, and exclusions. Provide a complete proposal for bidding general contractors and follow up until project is awarded. Validate contract equivalency to proposal made, and provide to project manager for review. Requires Bachelors in Civil Engineering, or related and 6 months of experience. 6 months must include experience as a Cost Estimator of stone contractor company in the construction industry for commercial projects. 6 months must also include experience with Vertigraph, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, cost control, risk analysis, and project feasibility studies.
